Law and Order Reward Program

The Ripon Police Department has a Law and Order Reward Program, aimed at recognizing youth in our community who make a positive impact by following road rules, staying safe, and contributing to a positive environment.

Officers will hand out “rewards” to children when they are observed doing things like wearing helmets while riding bikes, scooters, or skateboards, obeying traffic laws, and riding in safe areas. The program primarily focuses on kids under the age of 12, but officers are not limited by age and may reward older youth who demonstrate positive behavior as well.

This initiative is designed to reinforce safe riding habits, foster positive interactions between officers and young riders (along with their families), and promote community safety. We hope this program—alongside our other outreach efforts—will strengthen relationships between the police department and local youth, helping to build lasting connections throughout Ripon.

The department is also partnering with local businesses who have generously donated items in the form of certificates to be used as rewards.  If you or your business would like to contribute to this program and support positive youth engagement in our community, please contact:
