Explorer Program

The Ripon Police Department, in conjunction with The Boy Scouts of America, provides an opportunity for young men and women to experience, firsthand, how a police department functions. Explorers are trained in various aspects of law enforcement and used to assist police personnel. The Explorers are required to volunteer 16 hours a month, in addition to volunteering at Almond Blossom Festival, Fourth of July, National Night Out, and Main Street Day.
