THE CITY OF RIPON SEEKS CANDIDATES FOR SEATS EXPIRING ON THE FOLLOWING COMMISSIONS:

PLANNING COMMISSION

The purpose of the Planning Commission is to review projects and developments relating to planning or zoning issues. The Commission's recommendations are referred to the City Council for consideration. Planning Commission Meetings are held the Monday following the City Council meeting of each month at 6:00 pm in the City Council Chambers.

RECREATION COMMISSION

The purpose of the Parks and Recreation Commission is to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council, the Recreation Director, and the staff in all matters pertaining to public parks and recreation, and to cooperate with other governmental agencies and groups in the advancement of sound recreation and park planning and programming.  The Recreation Commission meetings are held every 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the City Hall Main Conference Room.  

Interested citizens need to meet the eligibility and residency requirements as stated in the Ripon Municipal Code Section 2.15.110.

Commission Application

Applications can be turned in to the City Clerk’s office, 259 N. Wilma Ave., Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm or via email at cityclerk@cityofripon.org. 

Applications must be received by November 12, 2024.
