Large Unwanted Item Pick Up Program

This event is sponsored by the City of Ripon. The program replaces Spring Clean Up Program.

About the Program

Residents are now able to schedule a pick up of large unwanted items between the months of April through September. To dispose of items through this program:

  1. Fill out the online Sign-up for a Large Item Pick-up Form or come to City Hall.
  2. Within 2 business days, you will be provided a confirmation number via e-mail of your scheduled pick-up day.
  3. Place your unwanted item(s) on the street in front of the curb by 7 am on the scheduled pick-up day, but no earlier than the day before.

Program Rules

  • Each residential utility customer may schedule one pick-up per year.
  • Only acceptable items (see a list (PDF)) will be picked up.
  • Limit of 4 large items per customer.
  • Items must be placed on the street in front of the curb in a manner that does not obstruct the path of travel of vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Only items of customers with a confirmation number will be picked up.

The San Joaquin County Lovelace Transfer Station offers free disposal for homeowners or businesses on the second Tuesday of each month. The San Joaquin County Lovelace Transfer Station is located at:
