Large Unwanted Item Pick Up Program

The Spring Clean Up Program has changed.  We are no longer picking up unwanted items the 1st two weeks of May.

The City of Ripon is now offering a Large Unwanted Item Pick Up Program.

Residents are now able to schedule a pick up of large unwanted items between the months of April through September.  
To dispose of items through this program:

  • Call or e-mail the Public Works Department to schedule a pick up day at (209)599-2151 or largeitempickup@cityofripon.org
  • You can also submit an online form - FORM PAGE
  • You will be provided a written confirmation of your scheduled pick up day.
  • Place your unwanted item(s) on the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled pick up day, but no earlier than the day before.

Large Unwanted Item Pick Up Program Rules:

  • Each residential utility customer may schedule one pick up per year.
  • Only acceptable items (see list attached) will be picked up.
  • Limit of 4 large items per customer.
  • Items must be placed on the curb in a manner that does not obstruct the path of travel of vehicles and pedestrians.
  • Only items of customers with a confirmation number will be picked up.
