| Annual Events | Special events sponsored by the City or the Chamber of Commerce |
| Bus Service | Transportation is available by appointment for the elderly and persons with disabilities. |
| City Utilities | The City provides water, sewer, and garbage services. Electricity, gas, phone, cable TV and internet service are provided by private companies. |
| Community Center | The center is available for private parties and non-profit organizations. Commercial ventures are not allowed. |
| Stouffer Hall | The hall is available for meetings or receptions of up to 100 people. |
| Dog License | All animal services are handled by the Police Department. |
| Free Yard Waste Clean-up | This services begins in the fall and continued until February each year. |
| History | Ripon began as a river ferry crossing and was first known as Stanislaus City. |
| Museums | The Clarence Smit Museum is managed by the Ripon Historical Museum
Commission, and contains many artifacts and photos of Ripon's early
years as an established city. The Ripon Military Museum is housed in what was the first "Holland Church", built around 1916. After a time, it was used by the "Women's Improvement Society." They deeded it to the City of Ripon, and it was the city hall for about 50 years before the new city hall was build on Wilma Avenue. |
| Parks | Ripon has two dozen parks for you to enjoy at your leisure. |
| Recreation | The Ripon Recreation Department provides sports and other activities year round. |
| Recycling | Cardboard, paper, glass, plastic, and aluminum cans are accepted for recycling -- proceeds to to the Ripon Unified School District. They also accept electronic waste on Saturdays, between 8 am and 2 pm. |
| Senior Center | Arts and crafts, recreation, and subsidized food programs are available to our seniors. |
| Swimming Pool | Our community swimming pool is co-owned with the Ripon Unified School District. |
